She currently has an Experienced Educator License in the State of New Hampshire with credentials in Elementary Education K– 8, General Special Education, and Specific Learning Disabilities. She has an extensive background in dealing with students covering over 25 disabilities. She has taught in numerous grade/age levels, in many settings and in different states. This includes adult education programs as well as elementary schools.

As a Special Education Teacher, Janet’s life’s passion is to break down barriers to learning so students can move forward in life. That passion, along with years spent watching adult learners arrive with gaps left by earlier schooling, is what led her to write this Supplement: to build confidence, reduce math anxiety, and prepare students for the High School Equivalency Test and beyond.

“My life’s passion is to break down barriers to learning, so that students can move forward in life.”

She is presently teaching a 7/8th grade pre-algebra class and finding this Supplement fits right into the lessons as succinct instruction.
